Inspired by the traditional Greek tagari, a handcrafted woven bag, made from natural materials such us wool or cotton, the tagari was used by shepherds and farmers to carry the daily essentials.
The geometric shapes of this pareo are inspired by motifs found on a traditional tagari dating back to the early 1900s.
These shapes reflect a rich visual language of lines, symmetry and symbolism.
The designs were not only decorative but also form of expression, reflecting identity, creativity and heritage.
